Developing Text Content

Better search engine positions will be achieved by increasing the useful information that relates to your product or service, especially if it is optimized for search engine keyword ranking. Search engines place higher relevance to websites that have more content, but this is only one factor. More relevant content can increase the variety of keyword phrases. A one page, 600 word website may get search engine placement based upon a couple keyword phrases. A 20 page website with topics covering different aspects relating to your product or service will have a much greater chance of positioning with your primary keywords AND obscure keyword phrases. This is especially helpful if your primary keyword phrases are in a highly competitive or saturated market.

Writing Effective Copy - Once people reach your website, you want to keep their interest and draw them in further. You need to write strong, persuasive copy and create attractive, effective visuals. You should almost always do most of the writing before designing the web pages.

Many experts cite the AIDA formula: Attention, Interest, Desire, Action. This is expanded here to ten points.
